2024 Community Nights

Community Nights are FREE and are held the last Friday of the month at 680 Millcross Rd in Lancaster (unless otherwise noted). We rotate through 3 formats: Music Appreciation, Open Mic, and Parlor Night February 23 rd 2024  –  Music Appreciation March 22 nd 2024 –  Parlor Night April 26 th 2024 –   Open Mic May 24 th 2024 –  Music Appreciation June – concert prep! Read more
  • Sign up for Jams no less than 24 hours in advance in the QB Student Portal
  • Jams are FREE to all active students
  • There is nothing to prepare! We'll help you use the concepts you already know...  even if you think you know nothing!
  • Jams are outdoors, weather permitting (i.e. not raining and above 60 degrees) so dress appropriately
  • Please bring:
    • Your guitar
    • picks
    • strap
    • tuner
  • If you do not have a strap OR if your guitar does not have strap buttons, we've got you covered!
  • If you need to borrow a guitar, please notify your teacher in advance
  • We will provide small amps & cables
  • You may choose to bring your own amp, but be aware that space limitations exist and you may not be able to use it if there is a large group
  • If you bring your own gear, make sure you have:
    • arrived early enough to set your things up
    • the power cable to your gear
    • your own instrument cable(s)
    • a power strip
    • your name on the above!
  • If you'd like to try a new instrument (bass, drums, etc), just ask!
  • If you'd like to bring family/friends as participants, please let your guitar teacher know in advance
  • Jams last approximately 60-75 minutes. Please plan to stick around for a few extra minutes to help do your part in breaking down equipment

Friday Community Night Hangouts

Hangouts are NOT held at QBGS, we do them at: 680 Millcross Rd, Lancaster 17601 Hangouts are FREE and open to active students and their guests. Kids are welcome, though know we will be listening to uncensored  versions of songs! Music Appreciation

Read more Play for 15 seconds or a whole song! Build experience and confidence playing in front of others.  "This is an incredibly supportive audience, as we all known how nervous you are, because we are too!"

Advanced players : show us what you're working on and get some experience playing in front of others. Then stick around and take some risks at the beginner jam! (try bass or a 7 string guitar or drums?)

Beginning players : listen to what other students are working on, see what YOU will be able to do in the future (remember, even our advanced students started at ZERO). Then stick around and be awkward in a jam! SUPER low stress, I'll show you how to NOT make mistakes.
